Hotel Crush ~ BaseCamp, Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is one of my most favorite places in the world. From skiing in the winter to sitting dockside in the summer, it is truly a magical place. But unless you are lucky enough to have a house in Squaw Valley or rich enough to stay at the St. Regis, it can be tricky to find a good (affordable) place to crash...until now!   With its awesome decor the Baseamp Hotel is like an ACE hotel for the mountains, but it also offers so much more like communal dinners, full green credentials and a roof top hot tub with mountain views for an apres ski soak.
Offering 50 rooms, all wired with wifi and gear racks, BaseCamp is a 5 minute walk to the lake and a 4 minute stroll to the Heavenly Gondola in South Lake. The Explorer Room -  bunks up to 8 (literally), and has a high definition projector with surround sound and an XBox 360 Kinect - bachelors trip anyone? And the Great Indoors Room brings the outdoors in - with acanvas tented bed, foe-fire-pit and picnic table!  With a price point as low as $170 a night - it seems like the perfect place for your next trip.

  1. A hot tub with a great mountain view is just perfect. The scenic view will add a relaxing feeling to whenever you use the hot tub.
